And after a couple days of rain, our crispy yellow grass turned from dead, to stunningly alive. In the sun it looks fake. Like fake plastic neon grass. Its strange what the country life will do to you. I now appreciate the color of grass. I appreciate that rain makes the grass grow. I appreciate that cows manage to find their way through the holes in our fences and eat our nice new grass. And strangely enough I appreciate the cow pats that help improve the soil. (Did I just write that?) Yes, yes I did. This is the new Katie, the Katie that takes pictures of blades of grass and talks about cow poo. I'm weird. Or I'm officially 'countrified'. Definitely both.
