Double Exposure.

My cousin Nate and I are really into photography. A couple months ago he sent me a pre-exposed roll of film to experiment with double exposure. I'd never done it before so I'm not really sure what I was doing. But the unknown final images were an exciting thought. I snapped some shots around the farm and took it to one of our highschool football games. One of my favorite images is #2 with Nate's ghostly silhouette overlapping the game. I'm not sure why some of the images are split, but I imagine whoever developed my film wasn't really sure what to make of this roll. Silly Walgreens employees. For my first time, I think they came out pretty cool. Thanks cuz for the film and all the selfies. :) K

Practice makes Perfect.

Since this sweet little family stayed with us a few days for Christmas I asked them if I could do a small family portrait session. I wanted to practice on my camera, and thought they'd enjoy having a few family photos. I know I have a lot to learn and realized after the fact that I used the wrong kind of film. I was feeling a tad ignorant so I studied up on ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. Its been since high school that I learned these terms so I certainly have a long way to go. Here's to practice makes perfect! They definitely made it easy since they're all so photogenic. Hope you enjoy these L&P.  Again, taken on my Canon AE-1.  K
