So food first, obviously. I had two cravings when I made it to BG from my *cough* 12 hour drive, and those were: Griff's Deli (see below), and Chaney's Dairy Barn ice cream. Every once in a while I'll have these intense cravings for probably the most delicious panini I've ever had. The Chipotle Chicken panini is cheesy and creamy, with a crunchy buttery bread. The spicy chipotle sauce blends so well with the chicken and tomato that it becomes a flavor explosion in your mouth. The portions are plenty as compared to other sandwich and salad spots and it leaves you debating how soon is too soon to come back for round two. Needless to say my cravings were not disappointed. Chaney's Dairy Barn was my second request. A little further out of town but worth the drive. They have a plethora of ice cream choices. I decided on my go to flavor, Big Red Rumble. During my recent trip to Bowling Green, KY I was fortunate enough to stop in on The Paint'n Place.  (<<check out their website) During my three years at WKU I spent almost all three working at this lovely pottery painting studio. It's one of a kind in BG and the staff here really became family to me when mine were so far away. It's such a cute happy studio with so many amazing pieces to paint. I was honored to see a lot of my samples still up on the shelves, and it brought back many fond memories. They do birthday parties, ladies nights, canvas painting parties, custom painted pieces, and new glass fusion! It's all seriously cool. My favorite thing about The Paint'n Place is the fact that everything you paint is so personal to you and makes something like a mug or a plate so special and unique.
