Double Exposure.

My cousin Nate and I are really into photography. A couple months ago he sent me a pre-exposed roll of film to experiment with double exposure. I'd never done it before so I'm not really sure what I was doing. But the unknown final images were an exciting thought. I snapped some shots around the farm and took it to one of our highschool football games. One of my favorite images is #2 with Nate's ghostly silhouette overlapping the game. I'm not sure why some of the images are split, but I imagine whoever developed my film wasn't really sure what to make of this roll. Silly Walgreens employees. For my first time, I think they came out pretty cool. Thanks cuz for the film and all the selfies. :) K

Practice makes Perfect.

Since this sweet little family stayed with us a few days for Christmas I asked them if I could do a small family portrait session. I wanted to practice on my camera, and thought they'd enjoy having a few family photos. I know I have a lot to learn and realized after the fact that I used the wrong kind of film. I was feeling a tad ignorant so I studied up on ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. Its been since high school that I learned these terms so I certainly have a long way to go. Here's to practice makes perfect! They definitely made it easy since they're all so photogenic. Hope you enjoy these L&P.  Again, taken on my Canon AE-1.  K

He also delivered presents to myself and my siblings because of Mummy's rule that if you 'believed' Father Christmas would come. Of course we always say we still believe, even when we're 24 years old. Princess and I were talking about one of the most frustrating parts of Christmas during our childhood was being forced to have breakfast before we could even see our presents. My parents would close our living room door, just to torture us, and then make us sit for what felt like hours and eat something we were too excited to eat before finally letting us into the room. We were so wound up at that point I'm surprised I didn't wet my pants. I'm glad Liam didn't have to endure that this year. We went straight for the stockings and big presents. He sent a cute letter up the chimney to Father Christmas asking for a Mater bo...
