The Batmobile.

My Nephew is my favorite boys boy. He loves everything superhero, Toy Story, Thomas the tank engine. He knows Batman, Spiderman, the Hulk, Captain America, Iron man, Thor. He can tell you about the In-creb-ab-bulls (Incredibles). He is three and he knows more about those characters than i'll ever know. On his bo-day (what he calls birthday) he got so many awesome presents, but his favorite was a custom airbrushed Batmobile courtesy of L & P. His party was a blast. Watching a child open presents is the best.

He calls me Katie, but after the wedding we were talking about cute names for all of us. I decided on Auntie Kate, obviously after Kate Middleton. So L & P encouraged him to call me that. When I saw him today, he called me Auntie Cake. He's too cute, I can't be mad. And I don't hate it cause I love cake. It was really only a matter of time for someone to call me that.

I asked him what Buzz says. His reply..."to im-fimamee annnd beeyaaunnd!"

Commander in Chief.

I was sorting through my 11,000 images on my computer today and found these, taken on my film camera. I'm pretty positive that the film was five years old, which could account for the discoloration on some of them. They are random at best.
1. My feet. And some pretty tiles in downtown Waxahachie, TX.
2. Gingerbread House in Waxahachie, TX.
3. A sentimental picture of the baby chickens before we lost five to a possible raccoon attack. Read more about that here.
4. Daddo. (a.k.a. Chap)
5. Mummy diligently working on her hydroponics.
6. The strawberries came in nicely. I love the pop of complimentary red in this photograph.
7. Our sweet Daisy, commander in chief of the front porch.

Selgas Wedding.

It was such a joy to see my big sister tie the knot almost three weeks ago. It's hard to believe that she's married now, but I know P and L are such blessings in her life. God was certainly looking down on us as He gave us a gorgeous sunny day. It was so nice to be with family and friends and to enjoy such a special moment. I'm so happy for the new Selgas family. I can't wait to see what you guys accomplish together. Love you all.

Here's some pictures I took with my film camera from the rehearsal and the big day.
