Due to the large amounts of brush and dead trees built up on the farm, my parents thought it necessary to have a bonfire to burn up at least one of our massive piles. It seemed only right to pair that with a little BBQ and S'mores. Once the fire was lit it burned like I imagine the pillar of fire to look from the Bible. It was probably one of the largest open fires I've seen. And it happened right in our backyard. The heat from the flames forced us to sit twenty feet away so it wouldn't burn our faces off. We eventually shoveled some of the embers over to one side so we could roast some S'mores. It was so nice to sit and catch up with family and friends and enjoy each others company.
Another evening in Texas I won't easily forget.
